About Next Generation Software

Next Generation Software, Inc., a privately-held Delaware Corporation, was founded in 2002 from former DBA ("Doing Business As") SFE Software, which started in 1997. We produce audio-related software, with the goal of providing high-quality, low-cost software. We also try to advance the state of the art, producing software that is truly worthy of the term Next Generation.

Our Virtual DJ Studio product (VDJ) breaks away from the tired two CD-deck metaphor found in other DJ software. VDJ is like having an entire studio full of audio players, processors, and music -- all within reach of your mouse.

NGWave, our newest product, similarly breaks the mold forged by other products. It was designed with completely new ways of thinking, and our revolutionary data-pointer system, as well as our ground-breaking wave display technology, truly sets NGWave apart from the rest. NGWave is the ONLY audio editor in this price range offering any kind of Crash Recovery -- and ours is far better than that of editors costing many times the price.

Design Goals

NGWave is being designed with several requirements:

• Intuitive Interface
• All processing functions must have Realtime Preview capabilities
• All functions allow for Presets (saved settings)
• It must handle very large amounts of data without getting slow
• It must be FAST in all situations

Every decision made in the development of NGWave requires thought. Instead of considering, "how do the other editors do it?" or "what is the standard way of doing this?", we think: "how can we do it better?"

This line of thinking is what lead to NGWave's unmatched speed in many of its operations. By nature, some things do take up a lot of processing time, but many things -- like deleting data, or Cut & Paste within the same file format -- should not.

The Future

What does the future hold for Next Generation Software, Inc.? Only time will tell. However, we have many great new product ideas, and will continue to work with VDJ and NGWave, keeping ahead of the competition. No doubt you will see our ideas copied in other software, but you'll also find newer and greater technologies in our new products.

NGWave will soon have DirectX Plug-in support, a revolutionary approach to Multi-Track recording and editing, and many more new features in the near future.
