Conversely, if the venue has a newer HD television,
your computer may have an

VGA

will connect directly to it.
In any case, you will want to check the situation
before the gig, to ensure that your computer can be
connected to the television(s) available at the venue.
Mac Requirements
If you are a Mac user, most newer MacBook
computers have a special Video port that requires an
adaptor made by Apple to connect to an external
monitor. The MacBook Pro does
not
have provisions
