You can pick up a multi-colored pack of electrical
tape at most hardware stores. You can even color code
other cables so that you can easily remember which
cable goes to which device.
Power Supply “Liberator"
Some of your items may have a transformer-type
power adaptor. The transformer steps down the
voltage for smaller electronic devices. The problem is
that often they take up two or three spaces on your
surge protector.
A very handy tool is the so-called “liberator". This is
simply a three to six inch extension cord that allows
you to plug these bulky power adaptors in without
hogging up the whole power strip.
