Title: IceCast Radio Broadcast
Post by: Justin on November 27, 2013, 06:57:12 AM
I have been doing a little radio show online using IceCast; I miss doing radio, and this is a free and legal way for me to get it out of my system :)

Since I now have a dedicated server, I now run RadioJMan.com for my little radio show. Starting tonight I will be doing every Wednesday starting at 6PM Central Time. You can access the stream at http://radiojman.com:8000, and you can join #radiojman on IRC server radiojman.com (that is NOT a hash tag, it's an old-school IRC channel). If you don't know what IRC is, don't worry about it, it's just to allow some interaction with listeners who are into IRC.

Of course I use VDJ for my music, and I do some bit of talking... but each week I plan to have a theme. Last week I did cover songs. Tonight - it's all about Piano/Keyboard songs (think Billy Joel, Elton John, even Journey)... so if you're bored on Black Wednesday, be sure to tune in and if you have an IRC client such as mIRC for Windows, join the chat room as well :)

At some point I want to integrate IceCast streaming into VDJ itself, but for now I'm just really testing things out, and honestly, just having fun :)

Great!  I'm glad it's archived, I'm listening to it now.  :)
